Virtual History Visits for Schools
Live Online History Workshops with Mr Dilly
Bring Mr Dilly live into your classroom for a one-school-only online history visit packed with character, humour, historical detail, pupil questions and a class quiz.
Mr Dilly’s Virtual History Visits are live, curriculum-linked online workshops for schools. Delivered online, they make history vivid, memorable and easy to access — wherever your school is.
Pupils meet Mr Dilly live on screen, explore a key history topic, submit questions and take part in a fun quiz. Ideal for topic launches, history weeks, enrichment days, book weeks, end-of-topic celebrations—or schools too far away for an in-person visit.
How Virtual History Visits work
Each Virtual History Visit lasts approximately 45 minutes and is delivered live to one school via Microsoft Teams. Access details are agreed in advance.
Sessions include:
A timeline overview of the period or event
Key people, places and moments from the topic
Mr Dilly’s high-energy presenting, humour and historical detail
Pupil questions answered live, submitted in advance by the school
A fun class quiz to finish
Optional class shout-outs where time allows
Each visit is designed for one year group studying the same history topic. Multiple classes from that year group can watch together at the same time.
