How much do workshops cost?
Workshops start from £355 plus travel, depending on your school’s location.

What areas do you cover?
Based in Brighton, Mr Dilly regularly visits schools in:
West & East Sussex
Surrey
East Hampshire
West Kent
Buckinghamshire, Berkshire & London (depending on location)
For schools further afield: usually a two-show minimum and/or travel & accommodation costs apply 👉 For international school visits, please email.
Do you charge expenses?
Travel: charged per mile (+ tolls/parking where needed)
Accommodation: only for overnight events, built into package at a reasonable rate
How many children can watch?
Workshops work best with 60–180 children. For much larger audiences, please email to discuss.
How are children involved?
All children join in with songs, dances, questions and interaction from their seats
10–20 children (and sometimes staff!) are invited on stage to take part in role play
Everyone is actively included, not just watching
How long is a workshop?
Typically 1hr 10–30 mins (confirmed at booking).
Can we book more than one in a day?
Yes — maximum of two workshops per day:
Two in the morning
Or one morning + one afternoon
(Dependent on timings and hall availability)
Practical requirements
Please provide:
Performance space: ideally the school hall
Set-up access: 1hr before start; 30min pack-down after
Parking: close to the hall
Equipment: 2–3 benches, 1–2 tables, power source, school laptop/projector/screen
Payment terms
School invoiced before the visit
Payment either:
Cheque: collected on the day
BACS: within 5 days of the visit
Safeguarding & Health & Safety
Enhanced DBS checked & registered with the Update Service
Fully risk assessed
Public Liability Insurance up to £10 million

Cancellation policy
If Mr Dilly cancels: workshop rescheduled, or discount offered on future booking
If school cancels:
Over 6 weeks = 25% fee
4–6 weeks = 50% fee
Under 4 weeks = full fee
If rescheduled, the full fee is still due by the original booking date.
Force majeure (e.g. bad weather): reschedule to a mutually suitable date.
Supervision
Adequate adult-to-pupil supervision must be provided
Performer must not be left alone with pupils at any time
Workshops may be stopped if behaviour prevents performance (no refund given)
Photography & Filming
Photography permitted
Filming only with prior agreement
Short clips of pupils participating allowed, if within school policy
Media may only be used on school channels or for children to see themselves perform
Special effects (WWII / Explorers / Maya workshops only)
A small smoke machine & strobe light are used. Schools will be informed beforehand.
Please ensure staff are aware and that any affected pupils are supervised or excused
